Client Spotlight | The Townsend Corporation Web Redesign

Written by Bitwise Solutions | Apr 13, 2017 2:06:16 PM

Every time we meet with a client it is an opportunity for us to build a relationship with people and an organization, which is what we love to do. Fortunately for us, we have gotten to work with The Townsend Corporation before, which meant we got further our partnership as a web design and digital marketing consultant. During this redesign engagement, we worked alongside The Townsend Corporation's Director, Marketing & Business Development, John Roselle and Marketing Manager, Abigail Bath.

At the beginning of this project Townsend was not only looking to update their dated unresponsive website but also for a creative custom application that encompassed multiple microsites for multiple companies under their brand umbrella.  They needed a site that was mobile responsive and inline with current design trends to optimize user engagement and brand recognition across multiple microsites.

Townsend had a unique need in that they were consolidating multiple sites for their different companies into one unified site.  By creating microsites for each company, we ensured consistency in brand standards as well as maintaining the layout of each site allowing Townsend to add in brand specific content, navigation and the ability to add as many pages as needed.

“Google says 61% of users are unlikely to return to a mobile site they had trouble accessing and 40% visit a competitor’s site instead.”

In today’s world, it’s never been more important to have a mobile responsive site, in fact Google uses mobile-friendliness as a ranking signal.  Therefore, we never build any site or project that is not mobile friendly. We want your users to have a great experience regardless of what device they are using.

In a recent blog post we wrote, 3 Practical Web Design Trends That Will Engage Your User, we outlined three web trends that will optimize the user experience and user engagement. Townsend nailed all three of them. They incorporated everything from large hero images to clean text that offers a clear path for the user to take when engaging with their site.

We are excited about their new responsive website and humbled to partner with them in their mission.  Please check out The Townsend Corporation website and reply with your thoughts in the comments!
