The Wound Care Education Institute® came to Bitwise with a unique problem. When their company began 15 years ago, they had one course, which was only given at onsite locations around the country. 

Today, they offer multiple different courses that are available all over the country, including online. They also offer many private courses and connect with large medical providers for hybrid programs. With tens of thousands of users, they had outgrown the system they were using to manage all of the students, courses, registrations, and certain credentials that their product provides. 

Their infrastructure was built to accommodate the one course, but now their business needs required a lot more. Their "tree house" system was performing the duties of a sprawling mansion system, and they needed Bitwise's help. 

Key Features:

• Beautiful custom-designed website, with careful thought for a seamless user experience and responsive design
• Easy customer account creation and management, including a user dashboard where they can manage their pending, upcoming, and completed courses, access online courses, view their payment history, update their personal information, and manage their credentials. 
• Efficient admin backend where they can manage user accounts, create and manage course locations, 
• Extensive reporting capabilities to see ROI on marketing efforts, track revenue, manage course efficiency, and more. 
• Discount management, with different types of codes that can be created to show revenue sources and also allow for corporate discounts. Users use a code to get their specific price, but reports show where the revenue is actually coming from. 
• Admin management of all website content, and options to manage a lot of system messaging. They do not need to pay expensive hourly fees to a web company to handle basic tasks but can make edits to content themselves. 
• Easy workflow for doing processes such as moving, replacing, canceling, or temporarily pausing students 
• Integration with a major LMS (learning management system) that provides the online courses
• Integration with QuickBooks and two different payment gateways that direct revenues to different businesses depending on the revenue stream

Bitwise also provided extensive help along the way as WCEI determined their requirements as well as provided multiple hours of training to the WCEI staff, making sure that they were ready to transition to the new system. 

Finally, Bitwise was able to migrate all of the data from their current system into the new system. This was very tricky since data was in so many places in their old system, but the final product combined everything into a smooth system. Even with hundreds of thousands of users, transactions, and registrations, the system was only paused for about 2 hours during the launch of the new site. 

The Wound Care Education Institute® is thrilled with their new system, and with the experience working with Bitwise. The project management and personal support made the difference in their company's success, and in the smooth transition from the old to the new system.
